The MikroTik wAP LR8G kit is a compact weatherproof outdoor LoRa gateway running RouterOS v7 — 868 MHz LoRa with enhanced Rx sensitivity, built-in GPS, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4, and triple power input in an IP54 enclosure deployable on a wall, ceiling, desktop, or pole.
**868 MHz LoRa — enhanced Rx sensitivity**
Updated 868 MHz LoRa module in the MiniPCI-e slot delivers improved receive sensitivity over the previous LR8 module — extends usable range and improves reliability in dense or obstructed environments. The Things Network ready out of the box — connects to TTN or upgrades to The Things Industries enterprise network without additional configuration. Note: the Mini SIM slot is only usable if the LoRa module is removed and replaced with an LTE modem card — the device has no built-in LTE modem.
**Built-in GPS — uUFL connector**
GPS receiver with uUFL RF connector for external antenna attachment. Enables asset tracking, vehicle tracking, and geofenced IoT applications directly from the gateway without a separate GPS module.
**Triple power input — passive PoE, DC jack, automotive**
Passive PoE-in (9–30V), DC jack (9–30V), and automotive input (12–30V) — deployable in vehicles, on solar-powered poles, or from a standard PoE injector (included). 5W max consumption.
**IP54 outdoor enclosure — wall, ceiling, pole, vehicle**
IP54 rated — dust-protected and splash-resistant. K-52 fastening set, desktop stand, ceiling mount bracket, metal ring, and 0.35m automotive adapter cable included — all mounting scenarios covered in the box.
