The MikroTik netPower 15FR is an outdoor reverse PoE switch built for MikroTik's GPEN concept — a low-cost ISP last-mile Ethernet alternative to GPON, delivering fibre-speed connectivity to individual apartments without GPON base stations or optical splitters.
**15× reverse PoE-in — the switch draws power from clients**
15 of the 16 Fast Ethernet ports are reverse PoE inputs — the switch draws its operating power directly from connected client devices over Ethernet, eliminating the need to run a separate power cable to the switch location. A single powered client is sufficient to power the unit. Ether15 provides passive PoE-out (same voltage as applied to the unit) to power a downstream PoE-capable device.
**1× fiber uplink port (Fi) — direct fiber termination**
The dedicated fiber input port (Fi) accepts a direct fiber connection — no SFP module required for the fiber uplink. Two additional SFP ports provide flexible fiber or copper uplink options.
**3.6 Gbps non-blocking throughput**
98DX224S dual-core ARM 32-bit at 800 MHz — 3.6 Gbps non-blocking throughput, 7.2 Gbps switching capacity, 5.4 Mpps forwarding rate. Managed via RouterOS v7 License 5 or SwitchOS — dual boot, both preinstalled and licensed. Free software updates for the life of the product or minimum 5 years from purchase.
**IP54 outdoor enclosure — attics, elevator shafts, poles**
IP54 rated — dust-protected and splash-resistant. K-66 fastening set, 2× hose clamps, and DC to terminal block adapter included. 16 DC inputs (DC jack + passive PoE-in) accept 18–57V (recommended 36–57V). Power supply NOT included — must be purchased separately.
