The MikroTik CSS318-16G-2S+IN is a compact, passively cooled managed switch featuring 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 2 SFP+ 10G uplink ports, running MikroTik's lightweight SwOS operating system. Housed in a 10-inch form factor chassis that also fits 19-inch racks, it is ideal for deployments where 24 ports are too many and 8 ports simply are not enough. With browser-based configuration, broad SwOS feature support, and very low power consumption, it offers a practical and scalable solution for small to medium network environments.

The MikroTik CSS318-16G-2S+IN is a 1U managed switch built around the 98DX2518 switch chip, delivering 16 x 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 2 x SFP+ 10G uplink ports in a compact 10-inch form factor. The chassis is also compatible with 19-inch racks (with the included rack ears), making it a versatile fit for a variety of installation environments — from small server rooms to network closets.
Management is handled through MikroTik's SwOS, a lightweight web browser-based operating system that requires no additional software installation. SwOS provides a broad set of Layer 2 management features including port-to-port forwarding, broadcast storm control, MAC filtering, VLAN configuration, traffic mirroring, bandwidth limitation, and adjustment of MAC and IP header fields — all accessible through a straightforward web interface.
The switch is powered via AC mains (100–240 V, 50–60 Hz) and draws just 10 W without attachments and up to 13 W under full load, making it highly energy efficient. Passive cooling means silent, fanless operation — an advantage in office and noise-sensitive environments. CPU temperature monitoring is included for hardware health awareness.
The operating system is pre-installed and licensed — no separate purchase is required. The device ships with an IEC power cord, a set of four screws, and CSS rack ears for rack mounting.
